Chief Clinical Officer
Dr. Mitchell Kaminski joined DVACO full-time in June of 2015 as Chief Clinical Officer. He is a family physician who has practiced, taught medical students and residents, and led quality initiatives and practice innovations during his career. Dr. Kaminski has also served as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner which helped to fuel his passion for system transformation in the pursuit of excellence.
Prior to joining DVACO, Dr. Kaminski helped to develop the AtlantiCare Physician Group in southeastern New Jersey as Medical Director, and served as Chief Medical Officer of the AtlantiCare Health Solutions ACO. He was the Chairman of Family Medicine at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center outside of Philadelphia from 2001 to 2011 before joining AtlantiCare, and has been on the medical school faculties of Temple University and the University of Maryland. Dr. Kaminski received his medical degree from the University of Michigan, and his MBA through Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
In addition to maintaining his primary care and teaching skills, he enjoys “walking the walk” through fitness/cycling and mindful nutrition. With a son in IT and a daughter completing her medical school training, he has embedded family “consultants” who enhance his perspective of a new generation.
